This ornate and delicately handmade traditional chalet Cuckoo Clock has many different features to bring this Black Forest scene to life. This chalet had been made using two differently treated Linden wood timbers, one in its natural form and the other has a light walnut stain. A handmade shingled roof, bell dower, ornate balcony and detailed windows give this chalet a life like appearance. There is a hand carved German wood carver and Clock Peddler all with moving parts. . Life like hand carved pine trees, deer and a German man and women seated at the base of the chalet complete this iconic black forest scene. In addition, this clock has a wooden dial, clock hands and hand carved Cuckoo bird. The Cuckoo call is sounded once on the half hour and on the full hour according to the time. The German wood carver moves his carving blade as he works on the carvings for a clock, the Clock peddler moves his umbrella and the figurines wearing traditional black forest clothes dance around to a music from the mechanically driven music box. There are two alternating melodies (Elderweiss and Happy Wanderer) which play every half hour. The clock comes with a certificate of authenticity.
