This ornate and delicately handmade traditional chalet Cuckoo Clock has many different features to bring this Black Forest scene to life. This chalet had been made using two differently treated Linden wood timbers. A handmade shingled roof, bell dower, ornate balcony and detailed windows give this chalet a life like appearance. There is a young German girl with moving parts that feeds the deer. In addition, this clock has a wooden dial, clock hands and hand carved Cuckoo bird. The Cuckoo call is sounded once on the half hour and on the full hour according to the time. The young German girl lowers her feed tin and the water wheel turns and the figurines wearing traditional black forest clothes dance around to a music from the mechanically driven music box. There are two alternating melodies (Elderweiss and Happy Wanderer) which play every half hour. The clock comes with a certificate of authenticity. Clock movement: 8 day mechanical (weekly wind up) with brass chains and automatic night turn off.
