This ornate and delicately handmade traditional chalet Cuckoo Clock has many different features to bring this Black Forest scene to life. This saw mill chalet had been made using walnut stained and natural Linden wood timber. A handmade shingled roof, bell dower with a bell and detailed balcony give this wood mill a life like appearance. There is a hand carved a German wood chopper and milling equipment all with moving parts. Life like logs and pine trees complete this iconic Black Forest saw mill scene. In addition, this clock has a wooden dial, clock hands and hand carved Cuckoo bird. The Cuckoo call is sounded once on the half hour and on the full hour according to the time. As the music plays from the mechanically driven music box, the wood chopper chops the wood, the mill equipment moves, the water wheel turns and the figurines wearing traditional black forest clothes dance around. There are two alternating melodies (Elderweiss and Happy Wanderer) which play every hour. The clock comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Clock movement: 8 day mechanical (weekly wind up) with brass chains and automatic night turn off.
