The Tiger Moth is a style of biplane built in the 1930s and served as a popular training aircraft for British Commonwealth Air Training Plan and the Royal Air Force (RAF) during World War II and the years to follow. The aircraft was used for training as it had the reputation for being "easy to fly, but difficult to fly well", and was used so often in training that the T in the model number stands for both Tiger and Trainer.
