This is a cuckoo clock made in the traditional Black Forest Saw Mill style with a shingled roof, orate balcony and red window shutters. The clock also features hand carved pine trees and deer to complete this iconic Black Forest scene. The little Cuckoo door opens, the Cuckoo Bird looks out and the two mill workers saw a log in time with the cuckoo call, once on the half hour and on the full hour according to the time. The mill wheel turns and the figurines wearing traditional black forest clothing dance around to the music from the mechanically driven music box. There are two alternating melodies (Edelweiss and Happy Wanderer) which play every half hour. In addition the clock features a hand carved wooden cuckoo bird and clock hands. The clock comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Clock movement: 1 day mechanical (daily wind up) with brass chains and manual off switch for night time.
