We are not taking on any new repair jobs until late 2018. Please continue to watch this page to see when we are taking on more cuckoo clock repairs.
What clocks do we repair?
We specialise in cuckoo clock repairs and servicing. All work is carried out on site in our own clock maker’s workshop, located on the second level of The German Village Shop, Hahndorf.
How often should I have my mechanical cuckoo clock serviced?
It is recommended to have your mechanical cuckoo clock serviced every seven years. One important reason for the service is to prevent wearing by cleaning the case and the movement, and lubricating the moving parts with a special cuckoo clock oil.
What is included in a routine service?
Included in the service is a full clean of the outer case and carvings with a special clock case restorer, a full clean of the movement to remove dust, and the application of a special oil to the movement which prevents wearing.
How much will a repair job or service cost?
The cost for a standard cuckoo clock service can vary depending on the condition of the movement and the size. We have a standard pricing structure for clock repairs. Quotes are free with NO obligation.
Can I post my cuckoo clock to you?
We receive clocks from many places around Australia so please call us before deciding to send us your clock so that we know to expect it. It would be appropriate to talk to our clock maker to get a rough quote via email before sending in your clock. When posting your clock, please package it carefully and leave the weights out of the package as we have weights in store that we can use to time test the clock during the repair process.
If you prefer to bring the clock in store we can assess the clock on the spot and give you a close estimation on the service or restoration cost.
We stock all spare parts for cuckoo clocks.
Cuckoo clock valuations are available.
