This ornate and delicately handmade traditional chalet Cuckoo Clock has many different features to bring this Black Forest scene to life. This chalet had been made using two differently treated Linden wood timbers, one in its natural form and the other has a light walnut stain. With a traditional fachwerk style exterior, handmade shingle roof, bell tower with bell and ornate detailing on the balcony and windows this truly looks like a traditional German Black Forest chalet. There is a hand carved German wood copper at the base of the chalet with moving parts. In addition, this clock has a wooden dial, clock hands and hand carved Cuckoo bird. The Cuckoo call is sounded once on the half hour and on the full hour according to the time. The German wood chopper chops the wood, the water wheel turns and the figurines wearing traditional black forest clothes dance around to a music from the mechanically driven music box. There are two alternating melodies (Elderweiss and Happy Wanderer) which play every half hour. The clock comes with a certificate of authenticity.
